'06 Honda Insight

The 2006 Honda Insight was among the first vehicles to be manufactured by Honda with a hybrid powertrain with both gas and electric power sources. Its first model in the 1999 also happens to be the first hybrid automobile ever to be released in the automotive market of the United States of America.

The 2006 Insight is powered via a front-wheel drive mode. The I-3 gasoline engine powering this vehicle has three cylinders and coupled with an electric motor, generates a sufficient horsepower of 73hp.

One of the available trim levels of the vehicle also comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This feature allows the driver to select between standard and optimal performances.

Other features included in the 2006 Honda Insight are air-conditioning as a comfort option for passengers. An anti-lock braking system is provided for better braking, while multiple sets of airbags enhance the safety of the passengers.
